This week the annual UN climate change conference is taking place in Durban, South Africa. Despite the lack of progress over the past couple of years, these negotiations are still the best chance we have of getting the drastic global action needed to tackle the impacts of climate change felt most by poor communities. The UK government has traditionally had one of the strongest voices calling for change and we need to encourage them to continue with this policy. Christian Aid and Tearfund both have informative pages on their websites telling us how Christians can get involved. Tearfund has a helpful list of prayer points and you can Chistian Aid are currently at the summit and you can keep up-to-date with progress here.
